Modern aircraft engines are incredible machines. They operate under conditions no other type of engine is subject to, and they do it at a level of reliability, and tolerance for operator mismanagement, that no other type of engine could possibly match. But, like all things mechanical, they are prone to wear.

Very few engines or accessories will fail without some pre-indication, but it takes a skilled ear and eye to be able to detect the subtle warning signs. That’s one of the reasons we’re such strong proponents of regular scheduled maintenance; it gives us a chance to put our skilled eyes and ears on your engine and find problems before they happen in the air.

If we do discover a potential problem with your engine, it is critically important that it be fixed immediately. There are only two possible outcomes if you allow engine problems to fester; huge expense later on, or failure in flight…take your choice.

Our large stock of engine parts and overhauled accessories like starters, alternators, regulators, pumps, etc. allow us to repair your engine quickly, and at reasonable cost. For simple engine repairs, like an accessory or cylinder replacement, we’ll do the work in our maintenance shop. If the repair is more complex we’ll call our engine specialists from the overhaul shop to assist in the repair. And, for more serious repairs, like a cracked crankcase for example, we’ll remove the engine from the airplane and bring it into the more controlled environment of our engine overhaul shop.
